The statement announced the hashtag campaign launched on January 19, coinciding with the anniversary of the Turkish occupation attack on Afrin, which took place on January 20, 2018.
The statement read: "To our Kurdish people everywhere, public opinion, all patriotic Syrians, and free voices in the world.
The fourth black anniversary of the start of the aggression of the Turkish occupation and its Syrian mercenaries on Afrin passes, "Çiyayê Kurmênc", which led it to the occupation after an epic resistance that lasted 58 days in front of the most powerful weapons of NATO and the most hateful and brutal enemies of the KKurds.
It added, "Therefore, we announce our campaign to condemn the Turkish occupation and escalate our civil struggle until the forcibly displaced people of Afrin return with freedom and dignity and the end of the occupation. , especially on Twitter, to be one voice that expresses the sacrifices of our resistance people and the pain of Afrin, "Çiyayê Kurmênc", that is subjected to all kinds of violations.
We in the National Initiative for Afrin, as we announce the start of our campaign through this statement, invite everyone to participate and solidarity with our campaign and contribute to launching the hashtag on Twitter and all social media.
The hashtag campaign will start on Wednesday 19/1/2022 at 19:00 Afrin time, 18:00 CET.
The statement urged to join the campaign and announce a free civil resistance, and said: "Let us join together with the Afrin Dabkeh "Dilana Afini" and let the world hear our voice, which will not remain subjugated anymore, and let us declare it a free civil resistance.
O Afrin, Kurds and Syrians, O free voices in the world, join the campaign of the National Initiative for Afrin to break the international silence and denounce the occupation and violations against our people in Afrin.
Pointing out that with the fourth anniversary of the occupation of Afrin, "the civilized and proud world of human rights continues to turn a blind eye to what is happening in that small part of the world, the part that resisted the occupation for 58 days relentlessly."
