ECR's Ozlem Goner will present at Yale University on January 30
Organized by Yale Council on Middle East Studies: "Join this special program aimed at teachers, school leaders and educators. Featuring Mehmet Kurt (Marie Curie Global Fellow, Yale University) and Ozlem Goner (Assistant Professor, City University of New York), we will be exploring Kurdish life, history, politics and language and trying to answer the question "What is Kurdistan? Who are the Kurds?". There will be a particular emphasis on the role that Kurdish women have played in shaping Kurdish identity and politics. Accompanying the seminar, there will be an exhibition of photographs entitled 'Kîne Em?/Who are We?', which chronicles the incredible breadth of Kurdish life and culture. The program will be followed by dinner supplied by The Sanctuary Kitchen and an opportunity to hear from their staff and chefs on the work they do to build bridges through food."
